Embattled Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago was on Friday night rushed to Nsambya General Clinic with malaria like illness, following his rough handling by Ugandan police on Thursday.
Lukwago was also diagnosed with with chest pains and multiple body injuries that are believed to have been sustained during the brutal arrests that have been happening for the most part of the week.
Lukwago was first arrested on Monday at his home and was later dragged on to a Police pick-up truck that took him to Naggalama Police Station in Mukono District.
Doctors at the Clinic say Lukwago's health is improving steadily.
