A 75 years old woman in Uganda has become the topic of debate among many Ugandans after she appeared on a free to air local TV program (Abanoonya) publicly declaring that she needs a lover.
The woman who some people think is mad made it clear that she was very serious about her intentions and would not be barred by anyone, not even her grand children. She says she needs a White man from any foreign country irrespective of age or even looks as long as he is not an African by birth.
Asked why she still needed a lover at that old age, she said she still had feelings just like any other woman and gave an example of the Biblical Sarah who was the wife of Abraham and the two were able to have a child at the age of over 90 years.
Her other reason for searching for love was that she needed to have fun with someone who would take her for outings, go the beach and swim just like it is the life style currently, visit The Democratic Republic of Congo and enjoy the Lingala Congolese music which she says she misses ever since she was in her teens.
He family and other Ugandans are however advising her to go back to the village and look after her children and grand children for they believe she has really brought shame to the country and ague that she is too old to search for love, worse still, on a free to air public TV station that is watched by people of all walks of life including her own in-laws.
