Pictures: Nelson Mandela's State Funeral

Former South African President Nelson Mandela's State Funeral was held on Sunday, attended by about 450 people, ahead of his burial at his ancestral home of Qunu.

Mandela was South Africa's first black president, a post he took on after an election in 1994, following his release from prison in 1990, where he had been imprisoned for 27 years, for his continued fight against white dominance of South Africa and Apartheid rule.

He died on December 5 at his home in Houghton Estate, South Africa.

Below are images from his State Funeral.
