Renegade former spy Chief, Gen. David Sejusa aka Tinyefuza has launched a political party set to compete with his former party, National Resistance Movement (NRM) and vie for the leadership of Uganda.
The party ‘Freedom and Unity Front (FUF), was launched over the weekend (Saturday) in London.
At the launch, Sejusa warned President Museveni and former boss that his time to leave has come and therefore has to go.
“He’s had enough time, He can leave and go, and we start a new process of national healing. And we are organising ourselves, we are establishing a constitutional rule which he destroyed,” Sejusa told the press.
Sejusa fell out with his party after he authored a letter in which he claimed there were some circles in the Army that wanted to kill all those officers that were opposed to the Muhoozi project.
According to Sejusa, the Muhoozi project was intended to groom Museveni's first son Muhoozi Kainerugaba to replace him when he retires. He then fled to the UK.
