Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) President Col. Kizza Besigye has been arrested as he left his home in Kasangati.
Besigye told Police th ahe was only going to the City center to do his personal business.
He was taken to Nagalama Police station along Kayunga.
Police said they suspected he was going to cause caos around the city.
His arrest came a few hours after KCCA councillors impeached his political ally and friend, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.
