Former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Director of Physical Planning Mr. George Agaba has reportedly been suspended over allegations that he has been involved in corruption and bribery scandals.
The suspension is to enable the Authority together with investigators to collect evidence to pin him and his office on allegations of asking for and accepting bribes.
“We have been receiving a lot of complaints from the public concerning the conduct of operations in the physical Planning directorate and we have demanded an explanation regarding such complaints from its Director,” Ms Musisi, the KCCA Executive Director said.

“We have been receiving a lot of complaints from the public concerning the conduct of operations in the physical Planning directorate and we have demanded an explanation regarding such complaints from its Director,” Ms Musisi, the KCCA Executive Director said.
Ms Musisi explained that as KCCA, there are core values on which the institution depends that are beyond individuals.“These values must be respected irrespective of who holds which office at City Hall,” she explained.
Mr. Agaba was first suspended from office in 2012 after he was accused of shooting live bullets at demonstrators against a KCCA eviction exercise in Luzira, a Kampala suburb. One person was killed in the shooting.
Agaba, together with his body guard, Santos Komakech Makmot were produced in court to answer to the charges.
They were later acquitted of all charges after convincing Nakawa High court that their operation was within the law. Court was presided over by Justice Faith Mwondha.
He later was reinstated in his position as KCCA Physical Planning Director.
