MTN UGANDA Kicks off Annual Kampala Marathon.

MTN Uganda, Uganda's largest mobile network has launched the annual MTN Kampala marathon in a bid to raise funds for provision of piped water to the people of Bududa District in Eastern Uganda.

The event that is targeted to raise about sh.300 million is slated for 25th November 2012 starting off from Kololo airstrip. The main distances are 21km and 42 km races. MTN has staked great prices for all Ugandans even if the don't make it to the top race finishers.

MTN expects to have a record attendance this year compared to the previous years' marathons. Expected to attend are Athletes from Uganda, Kenya and far beyond East Africa.
This year's marathon theme is " Run with your Heart" as you give the people of Bududa a chance to have clean piped water.

Bududa has in the recent years been hit by floods, leading to loss of lives and destruction of property including plantations. The marathon drive therefore is aimed at helping reconstruct the District and avail it safe clean water.

MTN has also launched an appeal to all people to like their Facebook page, as for every like it gets, sh.100 drops into the "Fans marathon bag".
