Nelson Mandela has been described by hundreds of World leaders as a "HERO". Condolences poured in from World leaders as soon as the news of the death of the Father of Africa was announced.

Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki Moon described the death of Mandela as a loss of an Icon of democracy.Moon said "No one did more in our time for the values and inspirations of the UN".

"I will never forget his selflessness and deep sense of shared purpose" added Ban Ki Moon.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair said Mandela is an Enormous Inspiration while US President Barack Obama described him as A leader who stood for peace and forgiveness in a country that seemed to stand on the brink of civil war.

Obama added, "The day he was released from prison gave me a sense of what human beings can do when guided by their hopes rather than fears".

" We will not see the like of Nelson Mandela again, it falls to us to carry forward the example that he set" added Obama.

Other people have described Mandela as a man who gave up power that could have been his for life. A leader who urged his people to believe that there is a greater future and a greater dignity in forbearance than revenge.
