It seems Ugandan Music promoters are reaping big from music battles between musicians, both local and international.
The first battle we had in Uganda was in May 2012 between Fire Base President Bobi Wine and Gagamel President Bebe Cool. The battle was controversially won by Bebe Cool.
It was a big reap for the promoters, it having been the very first music battle in the Country.
Then this year, it was again Battle of the Champions between Big size Bebe cool and the Good Lyf duo of Mozey Radio and Weasle. Bebe Cool again won this one.
Media reports ranked Bebe Cool at 58% against 42% of the Good Lyf duo.
This battle as well has been a huge catch for Music promoters Abitex.
The latest information on another battle of Music is that Uganda's music heavy weight and self proclaimed music Doctor Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleon is set to battle Nigeria's Davido in a music battle dubbed "WAR OF THE TITANS", sponsored by Uganda's biggest music promoting beer Club.
The War is set for Friday December 20th at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds in Kampala.
Club has successfully hosted top international artists to Uganda, including Sean Kingston, Sean Paul, Mr. Vegas and many others.
