Vivo Energy Uganda (formerly Shell) Managing Director, Ivan Kyayonka has reportedly retired from this position after serving the company for 31 years. He is set to officially leave office by the end of the year.
Kyayonka joined Shell Uganda in 1982 as a graduate trainee from where he rose through the ranks and even earned himself deployments in Kenya and Tanzania.
Kyayonka also serves the Chairperson of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). He will be replaced by former Uganda Telecom Chief Operations officer Mr Hans Paulsen.
Paulsen brings a wealth of experience having spent over 15 years in senior posts including Chief Executive Officer at American Towers Cooperation (ATC), the largest independent owner and operator of shared wireless infrastructure in Uganda, and subsequently as a consultant to ATC Uganda.
